My 9 year old daughter Hannah was diagnosed with Moyamoya last week. Her symptoms so far have just been headaches, thank god. This disease is so scary and there is still so much I don't know about it. She is scheduled in Boston for her angiogram on 3/7 and then will meet with Dr. Scott. The surgery sounds so scary. Is surgery a cure or does it just prevent strokes from occurring? It also seems pretty common to have more than one surgery. Hannah's disease is just affecting the right side right now but I don't know if down the line her left side will be affected also. If anyone has any input please share...
