Mary- You wrote saying that your child sometimes woke up crying. Boy did that bring back memories of my childhood. Unlike now, when my headaches get worse as the day goes on, as a child headaches would usually come on in the morning. Or, maybe the headaches were what was waking me. I woke up crying many a time and I don't think that I could fully communicate to my mother at that time that my head hurt. What I remember most of all though was that crying made the pain so much worse! I had to (still do) lay in a dark room, stay very quiet, ice on my head, my mother rubbing my shoulders and as I got older strong caffienated tea helped. I learned a ritual very early on and still stick to that today if I am able to. Did your daughter ever just violently throw up? That came with the headaches for me.

My heart just goes out to you and your daughter but I am happy that she got diagnosed and treated. Hopefully all will be well from here on out!
