Earnest,
Please do not give up if you read the stories here on this site the outcome of 99% of patience is promising the only fatalities are usually ones that go ignored or prolonged to long. My daughter is also 20 yrs. old she had surgery last Feb. on one side and March on the other by Dr. Steinberg in CA. and is doing extremely well after first having 4 strokes before diagnosis. Dr. Scott is also an excellent surgeon that alot of people on this site go to. Did you tell him about the headaches it does happen it is fairly common after surgery. Did she have both sides done? I'm having a hard time understanding why you were given that prognosis, most moyamoya patience do fine after surgery. Did you tell Dr. Scott about the headaches? What did he tell you after surgery? What was his prognosis? You have me full of questions I hope you'll answer so we can all try to help you, you've got me in a frenzy thinking you may be giving up.I have alot more I can tell you if you give us more information, alot of people can share they're knowledge and try to help here on the site, Please please respond back and answer my questions so we can all try to help your daughter,or at least maybe give you some direction as to were to proceed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Good Luck!
