Thank you for your input. I will try to get help from charities. I ended up going into the hospital for surgery about 5 years ago and had alot of tests but no surgery because they said I would be ok for now. I got a divorce before I went into the hospital with my ex being the legal custodian of my two children, the only reason I gave up custody was because the doctors said I was going into the hospital with a high risk of not coming out of surgery and I should get my affairs in order. In the meantime, I used all my money to fight to keep my kids in Illinois because my ex wanted to take them out of state. I won that battle but my ex took me back to court for child support which is now taken out of my check. Do you have any phone numbers for Catholic Charities or the name of someone who helped you with this specific situation? Thanks again.
