I'm very sorry to hear of all the problems your mom and family had to go through. I don't blame you for wanting some answers. Unfortunately, I personally don't know anything about this subject but I would highly suggest you write an e-mail to Dr. Steinberg at Stanford and ask. He is highly approachable and is very efficient at answering e-mails. If you do find out about a possible correlation between MM and heart arteries, please let us know.
