I have been getting Pains in the side of my head near the scar and it has nearly 2 years after surgery for moya moya disease.
Had my MRI a couple of days ago and in the film it looks like maybe one of the veins has come apart...... waiting for doctors opinion... but seriously.... is it possible? Has any one else got pains that long after surgery? :(

yes, my daughter has and she is 6 yrs post surgery.  There are days when she wakes up and has severe pain over one of her surgery sites....so far no one can explain it.

I am close to 5 years post op and i still get pain. I have a permint soft-spot about the size of a 50 cent coin (USA) because of the EMS surgery i had. It gets sore when severe whether is coming, I sleep on it, or when I over exert myself in a workout. i asked my neurologist and he couldn't really explain the root cause but it is blood pressure related. He didn't suggest I be on any blood pressure medication but I am to call him immediately if the dull pain becomes more sever.

i suggest talking it over with you neurologist and maybe make a journal about what was going on when you experience the pain, did yo take a pain reliever to help the pain, how long the pain lasted so the two of you can discuss it.

Hi there, thanks heaps for both your reply 's.
I did speak to my neurologist and he says that it nervs and if the pain keeps up i would need to see him and get some injections.  eeewwwwww  yuck,   
All else seems fine..  thanks soooo much :)
