Hi, My daughter was diagnosed with moyamoya after having 4 strokes 3 of them major she is 20 years old and suffered left side paralyses, that was 6 months ago since then she has regained a ton back, and has had two brain surgeries that were very very sucessful in california by Dr. Gary Steinberg as has several other people in this support group we have here on the internet. The person who started this group D.J. is one of them he gave us the info. on stanford university and Dr. Steinberg. We were so pleased with the hospital and the nursing was like no other and I've had tons of hospital experience having also a sick son who spent the first 5 years of most of his life in a hospital and now my daughter Mandy with the MM. You don't need a japanese doctor or to go to japan to get a life changing and saving surgery. If you want anymore info. just ask I'll tell you anything you want to know. good luck!!!!
