Hi Melinda--I too am very sorry to hear about your Aunt, you and your family must have been through alot. Now learning more about the disease can only help your family... knowing the signs and options now available, there can never be a misdiagnoses again. I have a niece who has moyamoya and she was misdiagnosed for years. We also worry about the possible chances of other family members, but after learning more about it and seeing DJ and his excellent recovery and others, it's so comforting and reassuring knowing their are superior doctors and growing knowledge of this disease and also knowing their are people out there who care and will help.
